System

Wind Load Resistance

  • Particular attention was paid to the strength criteria of the PVC profiles, the moments of inertia of the support sheets to be used in the system and the related "wind load resistance" have been taken into account while designing Selenit.
  • It offers new solutions that can be utilized safely for high-rise buildings and covering large openings.
  • The mullion profiles of the system can easily provide ideal strength values when it is desired to cover large openings in the architectural design.
  • Selenit System has successfully passed the 3,000 Pa (245 km/h) safety test and attained class C3 rating in the wind load classification thanks to its high strength values.

Water and Air Tightness

  • The design of the profiles allow discharge of the rainwater that may flow into the system to the exterior by the means of slopes and drainage channels in the profile.
  • No water leak has occurred to the indoors during the tests carried out under 600 Pa (110 km/h) wind load and rain of 4 liters per minute, proving its quality.

Thermal Insulation

  • Selenit System achieved the values of Uf: 1.02 W/m2 °K -Uw: 0.94 W/m2 °K in the tests carried out according to TS EN ISO 10077-2 standard using glazing with the dimensions of 1.23 m x 1.43 m and Ug: 0.6 W/m2 °K.
  • The main profiles of the Selenit Series have 6 chambers and the chambers are large. Thus, it was made possible to minimize the heat conduction coefficient value to the lowest levels.
  • Profiles of Selenit Series have been designed to achieve the lowest levels of heat conduction coefficients.

Sound Insulation

  • It is possible to ensure sound insulation up to 43 dB by the means of Selenit window systems.
